Services

I provide several types of services for those interest in learning, training, or self-change.

I provide consultation services for the analysis of physiologic data, particularly quantitative analysis of EEG. If you are in the local area, I can also record data.
I also instruct on the quantitative analysis of EEG, and as a qEEG diplomate, can serve as a mentor for those seeking QEEG certification.
I have my own philosophy on health - what it means and how people can get trapped in attempts to achieve it. I provide consultation on achieving change towards health. I also provide biofeedback and neurofeedback services in the local area to help people train themselves to find balance in their bodies and brains.

In my consultation, I bring several different skill sets from past experience.

I am familiar with brain issues and psychotropic medications after prescribing them for over a decade when working as a board certified psychiatrist. This includes use of stimulants, antidepressants, antipsychotics and anticonvulsant mood stabilizers, seeing their pros and cons.
I am experienced in neurofeedback, having provided several thousand sessions to hundreds of clients, seeing its effects (and failures) in cases of anxiety, attention problems, autism, and mood problems.
I have worked as a psychotherapist for years and been through my own therapy, seeing the pros and cons of this type of treatment. (Another form of treatment I don't currently perform).
I have taught students about the brain at many levels from grade school to high school, and medical school. I have also taught physicians in multiple settings, including giving presentations at international meetings.

I do not currently work as a physician and do not diagnose or treat medical issues. That means I do not currently prescribe medications and that my services cannot be billed to insurance.
